Catastrophie

Two films from Hyenalife are presented at an exhibition in Seul, Korea. The exhibition, ‘Diagnostic Mind 1′ is organized by Seul based news paper called ‘Dong-ah Journal,’ and curated by Korean artist/scholar Kim Yea-gyung and An Min-Hye. The exhibition presents works by fifteen artists from Korea, Japan, China, U.S.A and Germany, that Ms. Kim Yea-gyung selected while thinking about the idea of “catastrophe”. While Ms. Kim Yea-gyung begun this curatorial journey as her response to 3.11 in Japan, she is also recognizing the theme as collective expressions of contemporary artists. Hyenalife’s film were chosen by Kim Yea-gyung as a vision towards solving catastrophic problems.

The exhibition takes place at the Event Hall of Dongdaemun Design Plaza, which is a newly designed building by Zaha Hadid, and runs until November 3, 2012.
